Utilization of Silver Silicate for the Formation of Highly Dispersed Silver on Silica Catalysts

Supported silver catalysts with small and uniform particle sizes are promising for selective hydrogenation or oxidation reactions. However, during catalyst preparation, transport of the precursors often leads to large particles, especially at higher loadings. In this paper, use silicate as an intermediate preparation silica-supported nanoparticles is reported. was prepared by reacting nitrate silica. Subsequently, reduced prepare supported ?2 nm in size a loading 15 wt% Ag. The utilization limited species precursor decomposition, resulting 20 times smaller than those formed direct reduction precursor. were applied carbon monoxide oxidation, which confirmed high dispersion well excellent stability thus prepared.
